FLIPPED CLASSROOM

Flipped classroom fro class 8 in Maths ,Science and Social. In Flipped Classroom one section the subject topic will be in a video content and students later discuss about the visual aids with the teacher and assessments are conducted . For the other section the same topic is done in a chalk and talk method and assessments are kept  the assessment marks are evaluated and compared for both the section.

DE Contest

Students from Class 9 participated in a National Level DE Contest by AIF "A PEEP INTO FUTURE" students making a short film in "VALUE OF EDUCATION" .During the making of film students learned how to handle camera and  to edit the movie.

Jaithu kattuvom for Class 10th

Students of class 10th attended the jaithu kattuvom program conducted by Dhinamalar and SRM University for Chennai schools on 27th November in Madras University Century Auditorium.

Chennai District Level Science Exhibition

Student from class 9th S.Yogesh and Vasanth participated in Chennai District Level Science Exhibition held on 25th and 26th November in Ashok Pillar school. In this exhibition about 102 schools of  both Government and Chennai schools have participated.
Our school students have designed a model in IT-ICT506  Mangalyaan Satellite the students was guided by Mrs.Kanchana science teacher.Mr.M.G Dhayalan headmaster of the school also supported students to make this model.

Science Exhibition

On october 18th 2013 Science Exhibition was held in school science lab Mr.M.G Dhayalan headmaster of the school inaugurated the exhibition and encouraged students.
Students from class 6 to 9 participated in the exhibition and showcased real time projects like Plant cell,Animal Cell,Solar System,Electro Magnetic Current etc Students also explained about their projects to their Teachers and Students

IT Club - Inauguration

IT club was initiated by American India Foundation – Digital Equalizer Program in Chennai High School , Kamaraj Avenue on 15.07.2013. This Club was inaugurated by Mr. Dhayalan, Headmaster of the School. Students were identified as the Student Master Trainer and grouped as a team and also a leader was appointed along with the teacher in-charge for the Club. 

As the initial phase “Microsoft Powerpoint” was taught by the DE Coordinator for the students and IT corners were framed in the school.  Joint Commissioner  (Education) Mr. Venkatesh, I.A.S also encouraged the IT club and he insisted to give some special training for those students.
